Beginning in Charlotte and quickly spreading to other cities, the operations have not focused on the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/7321835\/trump-immigration-ice-detention-crime-data\/\" target=\"_blank\">worst of the worst<\/a>\u201d as Donald Trump and his Homeland Security thugs falsely claim.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, horrifying scenes have played out of immigrants and U.S. citizens alike being snared by masked agents in unmarked cars. \u201cEyewitness accounts and video circulated online show federal agents in tactical gear detaining people at locations across the city, including storefronts and public spaces,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/man-regrets-trump-vote-cbp-drags-him-truck-worst-decision-11064718\" target=\"_blank\">Newsweek reported<\/a>. \u201cIn one incident, members of a church congregation in east Charlotte said masked agents entered a yard where congregants were working and detained a man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The video is of an arrest of a Honduran-born U.S. citizen, Willy Aceituno, during which his car window was smashed and he was shoved to the ground, went viral. Aceituno said he voted for Trump but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/man-regrets-trump-vote-cbp-drags-him-truck-worst-decision-11064718\" target=\"_blank\">now concedes<\/a>, \u201cIt was the worst decision of my life.\u201d He was later released.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the mayhem, state and city officials\u2014as did those in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Portland\u2014have risen to the occasion.
