In fact, it wasn\u2019t even getting formal consideration, Moderna announced in a Tuesday <a href=\"https:\/\/feeds.issuerdirect.com\/news-release.html?newsid=7346090610333866&#038;symbol=MRNA\" target=\"_blank\">press release<\/a>, because officials were refusing to accept the application.<br \/>\n&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This was not a decision to reject the Moderna vaccine. It was a refusal even to think about approving it. The FDA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biospace.com\/fda\/all-the-ways-modernas-flu-vaccine-rejection-letter-shocked-us\" target=\"_blank\">rarely<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jamainternalmedicine\/fullarticle\/2775955\" target=\"_blank\">takes<\/a> such a step, and when it does it\u2019s usually because an application is missing a whole component or includes suspect data.
