<\/a><\/p>\nBorowitz: Iran Allows Ship Loaded With Epstein Files Through Strait of Hormuz<\/a><\/h2>\nIn its first act of goodwill since the declaration of a ceasefire, on Wednesday Iran permitted a container ship loaded with copies of the Epstein files to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn recent weeks, the closure of the Strait has cut off the world\u2019s supply of Epstein files,\u201d an Iranian government statement read. \u201cNow, those files will flow freely to the four corners of the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n
Although Iran is charging vessels millions for safe passage through the Strait, \u201cWe are sending the Epstein files through free of charge,\u201d the statement indicated.<\/p>\n

As he rode, an escort arrived with a note from Lee requesting an interview for the purpose of surrendering his Army of Northern Virginia. \u201cWhen the officer reached me I was still suffering with the sick headache,\u201d Grant recalled, \u201cbut the instant I saw the contents of the note I was cured.\u201d<\/p>\n
The two men met in the home of Wilmer McLean in the village of Appomattox Court House, Virginia. Lee had dressed grandly for the occasion in a brand new general\u2019s uniform, carrying a dress sword; Grant wore simply the \u201crough garb\u201d of a private with the shoulder straps of a lieutenant general.<\/p>\n
But the images of the wealthy, noble South and the humble North hid a very different reality. As soon as the papers were signed, Lee told Grant his men were starving and asked if the Union general could provide the Confederates with rations. Grant didn\u2019t hesitate. \u201cCertainly,\u201d he responded, before asking how many men needed food. He took Lee\u2019s answer\u2014\u201cabout twenty-five thousand\u201d\u2014in stride, telling the general that \u201che could have…all the provisions wanted.\u201d
