… trying to ‘unbury the lede’
Miles Taylor:
Donald Trump is a communist.
… If Americans are looking for a militant radical who wants the government to control the economy, silence dissent, and glorify the supreme leader, they can find one. He currently works out of the Oval Office. …
Donald Trump himself is a communist, or at least as close to the rulers of past communist regimes as anyone we’ve ever seen hold power in America. I don’t say that in jest. I say it as a former Republican who spent two-and-a-half years inside Trump’s first administration, watching his rule trend away from democracy and toward something darker yet familiar to any student of history. If you strip away the flag pins and look at how Trump actually governs, you find something closer to a Soviet general secretary than to any American president of either party.

Netanyahu Rejects Trump’s 15-Point Peace Plan for GazaIsraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that his country rejects U.S. President Donald Trump’s latest peace plan for Gaza.

Zorro Ranch, Jeffrey Epstein, and Donald Trump’s Justice DepartmentLast week, New Mexico’s Attorney General Raúl Torrez sued DOJ for access to unredacted Epstein-related investigative files that he says the Justice Department has been withholding. He alleges in his lawsuit that in 2019, the Department “directed” the state to pause an initial criminal investigation into Epstein’s activities at Zorro Ranch outside of Santa Fe, and promised “to share relevant information when their work concluded.” That would have been during the first Trump administration.
